The could be a malfunctioning ignition power transistor, faulty crankshaft position sensor, or even a blown fuel injection fusible link.  I believe that is the fuse attached to your positive battery cable.  If your timing belt has skipped enough, that too will prevent your engine from starting by killing the spark.  Check those items to see if perhaps your problem is with one of those items.
