2000 Galant V6


My AC/Alt belt broke. How do I change it? Is there a tension unit like on american cars? The book I bought at AutoZone does not give any info on the V6 model

There is a tensioner.  It looks like a pulley, and you simply need to loosen the nut and that will allow the tensioner to slide down the slot on the tensioner bracket.  I've done this on previous years of Galant V6's but not on a 2000, but I believe they are similar.
