Mitsubishi Repair: Adjusting the rear brakes, mitsubishi diamante, diamante ls

Question
I have a 97 mitsubishi diamante LS and I would like to know how to adjust my front and rear breaks?

Answer
Richard,
I don't quite understand what you mean by 'adjusting' your brakes.  If you mean they are not stopping your car as they once did, then you're probably due for a pad and rotor replacement.  Also, if the brake pedal distance required to stop your car has noticably changed, that may indicate you are low on brake fluid.  Check your brake fluid resevoir and make sure the fluid level is up to the FULL/MAX line.  You may also want to have your brake lines checked by a mechanic to be sure you have no leaks.  It may not be a bad idea to have your brake lines drained, filled and bled to make sure you have no moisture or air bubbles in your lines.
Good luck!
