Mitsubishi Repair: heater blower, haynes manual, salvage yard

Question
Anthony,
I have a 91 Eclipse, 2.0L, GS and the heater blower has stopped working.  The trouble started over the summer but I was able to nurse it along by flipping the vent open and shut and it would eventually start working again.  Recently it would only blow on high and then finally died all together.  I pulled out my Haynes manual and ripped the dash board apart to try to find out what the problem was.  The blower switch tested fine.  The blower ran slowly when tested directly off of the battery.  The guys at my local dealership shop suggested that it was the blower resister but didn't have any in stock to try and suggested that I get one from a junk yard which I did.  I still wouldn't work, so I went ahead and tried replacing the motor.  It still doesn't work so I'm at a loss to figure out what to do next, short of handing the problem off to the dealership and taking out a loan to pay their prices!  Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Todd

Answer
Todd,
If hooking the blower directly up to the battery does not produce sufficient air flow, than your problem could be with your control module.  Unfortunately, that is not cheap.  New, it can cost between $450-$700.  If you can find a used one from a salvage yard, that definitely will save you a few bucks.  But if you don't want to risk it, and just buy new, use this site:

They will give you a good deal on all new OEM parts.
Good luck!
