Motorcycle Repair: cam bearings

Using plastiguage what should the clearance be when the cam caps are torqued correctly please?

Are you using a manual?  The various clearances on cam caps, connecting rods and crank journals are shown in the manual.  If you don't have one they can be obtained online fairly inexpensively and will be worth their weight in gold.  
Anyway on the cam caps, the clearances should be as follows: For cap numbers 1,4,5,8,9,12,13 and 16: 0.12mm. For numbers 2,3,6,7,10,11,14 and 15: 0.14mm.
