Motorcycle Repair: baffles, screw driver, pipe wall

QUESTION: hi mike,i wonder if you could advise me,i want to change my baffles but i'm having loads of trouble getting the old ones out.there 12inches long and a very tight fit,they've been in for about 4 years,i'm having them re-chromed so not really bothered about spoiling the old chrome,i've soacked them in diesel for a couple of weeks but still rock solid,any advice would be welcome.thankyou for your time..mark flagg.

ANSWER: Are the in just mufflers where you can see them from the othe end?

QUESTION: hi mike,the mufflers can only be seen from the back end as there one piece pipes.the mufflers are 12" inches long and touch the inside of the pipe wall the whole  12"inches. thankyou for your time..mark flagg.

Answer
If you installed them there should be a bolt holding them in. If they are tight you are going to have to use a screw driver to bend the edges of the baffles and try to pull them out. If the baffles were installed at a factory they are probably tack welded and will be a bear to get out. You can try a dent puller to get them out.
