QUESTION: hello-bill I hope you can help me-the bike honda shadow vt750c 1983 I repar cylinder heads-lapping valve honey piston cylider new pistons and rings clean carburetor-the engine star good at first -time mark good-ok-the guestion is the comperssiom test soon after at 15 minute off the engine chek the compprecion and  front 180psi-rear-180psi the compression is ok after the repair-note-spark plugs color white tan -excuse my english-I hope you can help me gamalier thanks for your atention and time

QUESTION: hello-bill thank you very much for you comment as much appreciate amongst other things I totally cleaned the carburetors Im ride the bike and run good but Im going star to ride run roughly only on star to ride on first
the guestion-Im need to adjusment pilot screw-all are good no leake no smoking star good- only the choke on cool Im put the choke and up 2000 rpm Im need to adjusment Im think is to high thank for you atention and time-gamalier{excuse my english}

Answer
If you removed the limit caps on the idle mixture screws, you can adjust them to make the idle smooth again.

If the bike runs well cold, then rough when it warms up, it could be an ignition coil breaking down due to heat. When it runs rough, you will need to take a spare spark plug with you, so you can quickly plug it into one coil wire and then ground the plug to test for good spark.

The choke automatically speeds up the engine with the enrichener circuits. That is normal.
