Motorcycle Repair: honda cb 350 carb, honda cb 350, honda 350

Question
i have an early 70,s honda 350. it is an inline two. got  the thing running and it runs awesome off of idle. the plugs look great has good compression electrical is fine. i just cant get it to idle on both cylinders. i've soaked both carbs in carb cleaner for an hour each and then blew air threw any passage i could find. still nothing. ive swapped carbs on each side and it follows the carbs so i know that there is an issue with the carb. just curious if anybody knew where to get a schematic of the carb so i can figure out where the idle passaqe is.
thanks for anyones help.

Answer
Usually there will be an owners club or web group of people who may be able to help you.  In the older Honda carbs, very small jets are used in the idle circuit, and in a lot of cases these jets were pressed in.  It has to be removed to be cleaned.  Find the blocked small jet, clean it, and your problem will be history.

If you can not find the jet, do a search for the model of carb you have on the web, it may give you a hint.

Good luck,  Jan
