Motorcycle Repair: 88 1200 sportster, triple trees, iwant

Iwant to put a wide glide on my bike .I already have the fork and triple tree mfg. by showa it has no id # what else do i need to install ? what problems could i run into? will my original brake setup work? any helpwould help thanks .

As long as the triple trees are made for your bike you should have no problems. Just installt he triple trees and forks the same way you take the old ones off. You would have to check to see if your caliber will fit since there are many different forks. Since youa re installing wideglide type triple trees you would need a spacer for the rotor and for the speedo drive side
