Motorcycle Repair: Front Brake Light, harley road king, brake lever

Question
I have a 1996 Harley Road King. My brake light will not work when the front brake is applied but works fine when rear brake is applied. Not sure when the problem started but did recently change the front brake lever. Any help is appreciated.

There is a switch behind the brake lever. Check to see if you have power at the switch. When the switch is pushed the light should be off. Check the switch when its out and see if you have power going to the light. If not then you have a bad switch
