Motorcycle Repair: Battery Sensor, yamaha maxim, oem resources

Question
QUESTION: On my Yamaha Maxim 750 their is a sensor that goes in one of the battery filler plugs. If something goes wrong with the batterey it produces a warning light. This sensor is broken and the warning light is always flashing. Where can I find a sensor like this? I went to the Yamaha Dealer and no luck.

Thanks for your help.

ANSWER: This sensor was a gimmic by Yamaha, you do not need it.
If you do want one there are oem resources that sell oem parts, like bukebandit.com where you can order there parts. I believe that you can disconnect the sensor and the light will stop blinking, let me know if this is wrong and we will revisit this issue.
Thanks.

QUESTION: I did disconnect where it connects to the battery.
There is a connection by the battery where the two wires connect. This is where I disconnected it. But the warning light still keeps flashing. (I hope this makes sense) I did go to bikebandit.com but I don't know what this part is called or how to search for it.

Answer
try holding the end, where the sensor was, to ground, does the light go out ?
Aused bike junkyard is a possibility for one of these.... If the light goes out then grounded then you could just ground it or you could tape that end up and remobe the bulb in the instrument cluster. That is if you cannot find the sensor and cannot replace it.
Thanks, hope this helps.
