Motorcycle Repair: 1977 FLH ROAD KING CULTCH, clutch plate, clutch cable

Question
Just replaced the clutch it ran for an hour then no pressure. First is there supposed to be oil in the line and my clutch plate doesn't lay flat could that be the problem?

Thanks, S

Answer
I'm going to have to ask you some questions about your bike. The original throw out bearing on a 1977 FLH was a large top hat style, do you know if yours has been updated to the new one its about the size of a quarter. If its the new one it could be that the bearing has failed. Not sure which line your referring to thats got the oil in it and warped plates will not help you but they should not cause a complete pressure loss either you've got throw out bearing problems or your clutch cable has come out of the eyelet under the battery box at the clutch arm over the transmission.
