Motorcycle Repair: Hard restarting after riding, mixture, honda

Question
I recently encountered a problem restarting after I have riden my Honda 84 VF700. Its happened twice.

Answer
Generally a bike gets easier to start if its been warmed up. The only time this is not the case is if the starting mixture is way off.

Are you using the choke to start the bike when its warm? That would cause too much fuel to enter the motor and would fowl up the plugs.

The correct procedure for starting a warm bike is to crack the throttle a tiny amount, push the starter, let go of the throttle.

Does the bike have a steady idle once it starts?
