Motorcycle Repair: 99 Road King Stalls while driving, turn signals, classic answer

QUESTION: I have a 1999 Road King classic. The engine will quit while riding for no reason. Some times you can ride for weeks and some times it will act up several times. The bike will start right up but you must come to a complete stop turn off the ignition switch then on before it will start. I did notice that it seems to do it more with a passenger or maybe coincidence. Any help? 1999 fuel injected all stock 7,821 Road King Classic

ANSWER: Do the lights turn off to when it stalls?

QUESTION: I,m not sure. I have only ridden in the day time this year. I will check with my buddies. I know the turn signals and brake lights will work because that is how the other riders knew I was having a problem.

Answer
If your turn signals work then the lights should be working.
It sounds like you have a short int he ignition system and you are going to have to trace it out. Look for a loose connection, smashed wire, or a rubbed wire.
