Motorcycle Repair: no start, starter solenoid, starter button

Just got a 1980 Sportster ..Battery went dead and in the process of charging it arced across to the frame.  Now starter button on handle bar does nothing (worked before)put on new starter relay did not help.  Can spin starter by shorting across so it still works...are there other fuses I need to check??  Thanks

You have breakers, no fuses. Take a test light and see if you hve power going to the starter buttom. Push the starter button and see if you hve power going to the relay and then see if you have power going to the starter solenoid.
