Motorcycle Repair: clutch, honda rebel 250, clutch linkage

I have a 1986 Honda Rebel 250. I have torn into the clutch because it is not shifting the gears. There is a fork like thing in it. Could there be a spring missing?

There are springs within the clutch linkage. Go to Bike Bandit's website and view the parts michrofiche:

Click "OEM Parts" and then select the year, make, and model from the menus that follow.
