Question
I have a 1986 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 that keeps overheating.
After start up the temperature slowly increases until it overheats (usually in about ten minutes). The fan is working and we have opened it up and checked the water pump and the coolant is circulating in the radiator. Do you have any suggestions! Thanks Rick

Answer
Have you checked the thermostat? Also, check
for milky oil or white exhaust smoke which means a leaky head gasket. Sometimes the fan blade can be slipping even
though it's motor is spinning. Any air leaks in the
intake or exhaust may increase heat.
Make sure hoses are good as they can collapse.
Is the fan sensor working okay?
Flush the system and add new coolant.
You could try an aftermarket fan with better blade pitch.
