how do u set the timing on a 1984 200X

Hi Melissa,

The procedure for checking and adjusting valve clearances are easy, but too much for me to text.

Get a copy of the service manual (repair manual) and learn about the procedure. The service manual has illustrated procedures and important warning information.

The manual will pay for itself with the first work you perform. I recommend getting Honda's manual vs. Clymer or Haynes versions. We get what we pay for, so to speak.

If you don't want to spend the money on a new manual, check your local public library for a loaner copy.
