Motorcycle Repair: motorcycle vibration, suzuki c50, japanese bikes

Question
I just purchase a used Suzuki c50 800 cc cruiser with 6700 miles and excellent condition. it runs great but seems to vibrate more as you go faster. I feel the vibration in my feet on the pegs. If I pull in the clutch and back off the throttle, the vibration stops. It seems like a drive train or engine problem. The bike has a shaft drive. I have a 20 year old Suzuki 1200 madura also and it does not act this way. Is this normal for this bike? I read this complaint before but never heard an answer. Thanks for any input.

Answer
Most all of the Japanese bikes like this r designed for comfort, so no, your vibration shouldn't b 2 the point that it's disturbing u.  I would check the U-Joints on your drive shaft to make sure there's no play in them.  I would then check out tire and wheel balancing.  Both of these will cause vibration, but the drive shaft can b dangerous.  Good luck and let me know!
