Answer
Hi Steve,

It's great that you're servicing the cooling system.

Finding the source of cooling system leaks can be difficult.

Use a cooling system pressure tester to quickly find the source of leaks.

-or-

Place the Shadow on the center stand on a clean and level surface. Start and run the engine in the usual manner. Allow the engine to reach operating temperatures. Look for evidence of coolant on the surface. Try and trace the coolant trail along engine surfaces back to the source.

Cooling systems are designed to be air free. Anytime the cooling system is opened to atmosphere, the system needs to be purged of air. Air lowers the boiling point of the coolant to temperatures just above that of plain water. Purging the system of air is mandatory.

I use and recommend the MityVac "AirEvac" purging tool.

I'll send some tech files to your email.
