Motorcycle Repair: 83 honda v65 magna noisy, honda v65 magna, tappet noise

is there any way to make the 83 v65 less noisy in the valve area.Ive adjusted the valves and they are still noisy( tapped noise) thank you

Hi Randy,

Excessive valve clearances causes tappet noise. Worn or defective valves causes noise, too.

There's no trick to making them quieter. However, Honda did have problems with their cams and valve train assemblies during that era.
