Motorcycle Repair: dont satart, mrhonda, bill silver

i have a 1983 yamaha xv500 virago that will not satart. i have got the tci module fix carbs work on and check all wireing and i still have the same problem. what else can i do/ i'm runing out of obtions.

I don't know a thing about these Vtwins. If there is no spark with a new module, then perhaps the pulser coil is bad in the alternator area. If the pulser coil is out, there is no reference signal for the CDI module to fire.

Verify if there is spark at the plugs.. if so, then the fuel system is probably at fault. If no spark, check the kill switch wiring in the handlebars for shorts/opens. No spark, then plan on checking all the wiring around that.
