QuestionMark, I have a 1999 Suzuki Intruder 1500LC. Last fall after a 30 minute ride and stopping for coffee I had a problem restarting the bike. The bike would turn over at a pace that appeared as if the battery was weak. After several attempts to start it it would turn over as if there was no problem with the batt. It did this a couple of times last fall. I just put in a new batt. today, fully charged. I went to start the bike and it did it again. The starter sounds like it is hitting resistance during compression and slowing down the crank speed. After I let it sit and tried it a few more times, it turned over like new again. Getting frustrated, any ideas, thanks, Tom

The starter may have worn brushes, be loaded with carbon powder, have worn plain bearings, there may be a loose battery or electrical connection, the starter solenoid may be worn/defective or have burned/pitted contacts, and/or the starter button contacts may be burned or pitted.
