Question
I HAVE A 93 SUZUKI 600 KATANA. WAS STOLEN AND WIRES TO IGNITION WERE CUT(TRYING TO HOT WIRE?) MY QUESTION IS WHETHER OR NOT THOSE WIRES CAN BE SPLICED BACK TOGETHER? I HAVE HEARD CONFLICTING INFO ON THIS. I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A PERFECT BIKE...JUST WANT IT TO RUN.

Answer
Hi Mandy.

If you are reasonably good with electrical, are not colorblind, and know how to use some basic electrical tools, then yes you can repair it.  It is not difficult.  Just be sure that you refer to the repair manual for the wiring diagram to make sure that you don't wire things wrong.

Anyone that has said that the repair is not possible, either doesn't know electric at all or, if they are a "mechanic", is only a parts changer and doesn't really know how to fix machines.

Good luck and ride safe.
