Motorcycle Repair: FRONT END CONVERSION 05 SPORTSTER, bikers choice, conversion kit

I WOULD LIKE TO CONVERT MY 1200 CUSTOM SPORTSTER FRONT END OVER TO A WIDE GLIDE FRONT END AND HOPE THAT IT WILL EXTEND MY FRONT OUT A FEW INCHES AND CHANGE THE STOCK GAS TANK FOR A FULLER LOOK IF THIS CAN BE DONE WHAT TYPE OF TANK SHOULD I USE AND FRONT END CONVERSION KIT .

Changing your front end will not throw it out any. What you need to do is change the rake of the bike if you want to extend the front end. The rake is the angle of the neck of the frame. There are several companies out there that sell neck cups with a 3-6 degree additional rake for what you want to do. As to the conversion kit and the tank, your best bet it to get some catalogs or go online and find what you like. Kits are endless and in all price ranges. You can try Tedds V-Twin and Bikers Choice. Both have online catalogs.
