Motorcycle Repair: Sportster wont start, harley sporster, blown fuses

Question
have a 97 Harley Sporster. started clicking when turning on key, then started chugging when running. Hubby took battery area apart looking for loose connection. put back together, changed oil and tuned up, now nothing comes on -no lights or anything. Battery charger shows battery has charge.

Answer
Hi Nancy,

Check for blown fuses and continue checking for loose electrical connectors.

Starter solenoid clicking usually indicate low or defective battery, worm start motor brushes, or loose battery leads.

Check all ends of the battery leads.
