Answer
Ira, David Silver Spares in the UK is a supplier of vintage parts, but is not related to me. Check my website at www.vintagehonda.com for more details about my books on CDROM format for all 250-305cc Honda twins.

Tank badges for the 250cc machines had HONDA 250 embossed in the badge set. There are reproductions available from Trevor Sawyer in the UK.

Sometimes, nice badges come up for sale on Ebay or in the classifieds at www.vjmc.org.

I have a set of badges that are for the 1962-3 versions which say DREAM 250 beneath the wing area. These were some reproductions from Honda Japan, but are painted silver in the area where the originals were plated silver-gold.

CL7s are worth anywhere from $500 to $5000 in fully restored to new condition. Condition, mileage and completeness are all major factors in the value. Early chain guards (there are three different types for 250-305cc Scramblers) are in high demand and can sell for over $200 when you find them. I think that SUDCO made some reproductions in fiberglass a few years ago.
