Motorcycle Repair: ignition module for 1982 kawasaki csr 250, vin number, bikebandit com

Hello,

I am looking to replace or by-pass the ignition module of my 1982 Kawasaki CSR250, which I have been told no longer functions.  I am hoping you will be able to offer me any information regarding where I might be able to find a map of the electrical system of the bike, whether or not it IS possible to by-pass the ignition module, how hard this would be, whether or not you would recommend doing so, and if not, where and by what means would you recommend procuring a new ignition module.  Thank you in advance for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Joshua,

Have to have the CDI for the engine to run.

Try www.bikebandit.com for parts and service manual for the CSR250.

Also try www.buykawasaki.com (enter the VIN number in the appropriate place to see the history of this MC, if any.)
