Hi Mike.
 Not to sound like a smartass or anything, but it should be up front, like on every other bike out there.  If it's not, then consult your owner's manual.  The oil filter is usually pretty obvious.

 That is quite unusual.  The filter would normally be somewhere fairly accessible, so it is likely somewhere near the bottom front area of the engine, possibly underneath.  You may want to refer to the owner's manual.  It should show it ('should' being the operative word) in there.  Otherwise, just call the dealership and ask them.  They had bloody well better know better than anyone else.
