Motorcycle Repair: Honda 65 and Honda 90, honda ct90, ebay auctions

Question
Hi. I have the above two motorcyles I inherited. I got the one working (the 65) and the 90 is not working.  Can you tell me what year the Honda 90 is if I provide the serial number which is ct200 104546. I am looking for a service manual to figure out where some loose wires go near the gas tank and carburator. I see that the 90 is referred to as CT200 so I really don't know what I am looking for. I think the both bikes are from the 60's. Can you help. The bikes are both orangy in color (maybe faded red?)Also do you have any idea what each of the bikes might be worth? the 90 is not running. the 65 is running and in perfect condition. Thanks!

Answer
Debbie.. The S65 Sport and the CT200 are circa 1964-65 era.
The S65 went on sale 4/1965, while the CT200, which was the forerunner of the Honda CT90 Trail 90 was released in 5/64.

There was a Cub 65 step-thru model, similar to the CT200, but for street only.

They were originally Scarlet Red in color.

The 65 has a magneto ignition which does not need a battery to start/run. The CT200 was a battery ignition bike, so you have to have a fresh battery in there to start the machine.

Tell me what color the wires are and I may be able to sort them out for you..

Go to www.nada.com for some relative "values" of these bikes, as well as Ebay auctions. The S65s were known for having bad 2nd gears in the transmissions, so look out for that expensive repair item.
