Motorcycle Repair: 95 Suzuki Katana 600 turnsignal removal, suzuki katana 600, turn signals

Question
I am trying to get my 95 katana 600 ready for summer riding, it will not start, I ran stabilizer through the carbs last fall and this year I tried to go out and start it last week, I can get the engine to spin freely, and it backfires a lot with starting fluid, so I am assuming the plugs have gone bad over the winter, I tried to get the fairings and tank off, but the turn signals are keeping the side fairing on and I can not figure out how to get them off, any help would be greatly appreciatd or any other ideas about what may be causing my vehicle not to start.

Thanks

JAson

Answer
Hi Jason,

The spark plugs will need to be cleaned or replaced, and the carbs may need to be cleaned.

Turn signal removal:
Turn signals pass thru the fairing and are fastened by a nut to the front fairing bracket. Have to remove mirrors, too. Reach up under fairing above front fender to access turn signal nuts.

Send me your email as requested and I'll return carb cleaning, tuning, and synchronizing information files.
