Nissan Repair: please help me get a proper gearbox

I have a 2001 Nissan serena and it has no power completely, the gearbox spilt all the oil and I towed it and packed it since last year August. please help me, do I have to repair the gearbox or I have to purchase another oner? is it safe to repair a gearbox? please help.

Hi Nicole -

Usually it is safe to repair a gearbox. However if the casing is cracked, causing the leak, replacing it would be the answer. If it is only a seal, then replacing the seal is the way to go.

Just confirming that the car does move when in gear correct? It is just the gearbox that is faulty?
