Nissan Repair: 1997 nissan quest overheating, radiator cap, radiator fan

Question
Recently had my radiator fan replaced when the van was overheating,the problem went away for a week,then the van started overheating again.the left side of the radiator is cool ,while the right side is hot. Can you give me an idea of what i might be dealing with? I have seen coolant on parts of the engine, and water overflowing from the radiator cap when the van overheated.

Hi Ray -

Looks like your thermostat. It keeps the coolant in the engine while warm up and slowly opens to allow coolant into the radiator. If it is stuck closed, you will experience what you have described.

Replace it and you should be good to go.
