Nissan Repair: Funny Noise, 2002 nissan altima, nissan altima

Hello, I own a 2002 nissan altima 4dr SL and its been making funny noises when I drive, epecially my front left tire, its not a squealing, or a knocking noise, it sounds like a chain dragging on the ground. But nothings dragging and it drives okay but i'm still afraid that something serious could happen if i dont take care of this. Its been doing this for about a month and I know if I take it to a car shop they will look at me and know they could get more money out of me then what im asking for them to fix.

Can you tell me if this noise comes out just when you are applying acceleration, or just when you are rolling, such as down a hill and not pressing the accelerator pedal?

Does the sound change as you are picking up speed, or just stays the same?

Anything you can share with me would be beneficial. It is always difficult to diagnose sight unseen. Thanks for bearing with me.
