Nissan Repair: Hose Replacement, hose replacement, intake manifold

Question
Hi there Last week i had to figure out the hard way that one of the hoses in my car ruptured, I am not really sure what its called but it is right on top of thee oil filter, behind the engine, under the intake manifold. I know it released all of the coolant, what hose was it and what do i have to do to replace it? i already took off the hose i just need to know how to put it on! help!

Answer
Hi Oscar -

Yes, these are the bypass hoses that they don't tell you about. I did not get the year and model of your Nissan, but most likely you will have to remove the intake manifold to get to it, and replace the hose. Most of them are either 1/4" or 3/8", and you can use fuel line hoses to replace it with.

Hope this helps -
