Nissan Repair: help with xterra vacum hose, nissan xterra, vacuum leak

I have a 2000 Nissan xterra 2wd and wen I'm driving if I get my tons past the 2 it starts to shimmey bad but if I let off the gas an get my rpm back down to the 2 it stops an sometimes I can ease it baCk to get past 60 mph and at times if I'm sitting at a light it may die..  I went n had the service engine light tested an it said a vacuum hose leak.  How do I find that???  I no nothing about cars but if I had a way to locate the leak I could have my Bro n law fix it.  Any ideas or any any suggestions?  Please help!

It would help greatly if I can get the code that was read from the computer. That would narrow down the cause tremendously.

If the engine is idling rough, you might want to get some carburetor cleaner and sparingly spray different parts of the engine. When you spray an area and the idle improves, you have found the vicinity of the vacuum leak.
