Are you saying that the window will only go up half way, and will go back down by itself? All other windows work properly?

If so, your power window motor needs replacing. To access you will need to remove your door panel. Are you familiar with the procedure?

QUESTION: I'm sorry for not being clear. The window goes all the way up, then 1/2 way back down, All other window work properly. If the motor is bad, wouldn't the window fail to operate? Perhaps it is a senor?????

Hi Hubert -

A lot of times the motor goes bad. Since the driver's is the one most used, it usually fails first, as it gets older, it loses power and it is not able to push or pull the window. That is probably why it is getting stuck.

However, you might want to check the track first to see if there is any obstruction. The motor might be struggling to pull the window back down through the track.
