Nissan Repair: car oil problem, oil pressure switch, nissan altima

Question
QUESTION: I checked my oil dip stick this morning and it was completely
dry.....there's no oil on the ground and I had an oil change in june, and I
just got done moving to a new place that is 6 hours away so any reasons
as to why this might be would help

ANSWER: Hi Cody -

Would help if I knew what kind of vehicle you have - make model and year.
However, if you are not seeing oil in and around the engine, then you are probably burning it, perhaps valve seals, or (hopefully not) piston rings. Depending on how old you car is.

Give me the info, and I will probably have a better diagnosis.

QUESTION: Sorry, its a 2000 nissan altima 4 door sedan....had an oil change 1000
miles ago by fast lube.......and the timing chain was stretched and had to
be replaced for 800 bucks just a little bit ago

Answer
Hi Cody -

Can you check the radiator and see if there is oil in the coolant?

Also, when you fill the oil to the proper level, please note how long it takes to go down to the fill line.

Do you see any evidence of an oil leak on your engine anywhere? Esp. by the oil pressure switch/sending unit, valve cover gaskets, etc.
