Nissan Repair: 2002 Nissan altima radiator losing fluids, 2002 nissan altima, radiator fluid

Question
My radiator had a leak in May and was replaced. Afterwards it still lost fluids.  I then had the temperature gauges and the upper hose replaced. The radiotor is still losing fluids and causing my car to run hot.  My mechanics can not find a visible leak. Last week my mechanic changed the temperature gauge again thinking it was faulty the first time.  I'm still having the same problem, having to add fluids every 2-3 days.  Please help, I don't know what else to do.

Answer
Tamiko,

If the radiator is new and has on leaks and you are still losing fluid it may be a defective radiator cap.  Replace the cap with a new one.  If the problem persists have the engine checked for a blown headgasket.  The mechanic can use a fluid that changes colors to let them know if there is exhaust gas in the radiator fluid.  If this is the case you probably have a blown headgasket and that will cause the overheating and loss of fluid.
