Nissan Repair: Nissan Pathfinder, fuel pressure regulator, nissan pathfinder

Question
i Have a 2005 pathfinder that is stalling both when hot and cold. Sometimes its ok just about 5 mins after starting but  when its hot it will stall again. Runs perfectly other than that. Recently serviced to solve the problem but non nissan mechanic could see nothing on the computer diagnosis. Can you help?

Answer
Peter,

Is yours petrol or diesel?  If it is petrol check the fuel pressure to determine if the fuel pump or fuel pump relay is going out.  Usually, from what you describe, the fuel pump will be going out or the relay that powers it.  If yours is a diesel motor check the fuel pressure regulator to see if it is sticking.  A good fuel additive for water dissipation and the replacement of the fuel filter is in order if yours is diesel.
