Nissan Repair: 1993 Nissan Maxima Headlights, daytime running light, daytime running lights

Question
Greetings Marc!  My 1993 Maxima SE has a left headlight which dims when the high beams come on.  The low beams are both fine and right high beam fine.  The left light just grows slightly dim, rather than brighten.  New bulbs don't help.  Both bulb sockets measure about 12V respectively, in both high and low settings.  In the dash, the high beam indicator light stays illuminated, whether or not the stalk is switched to high beams.  Past questions seem to indicate light switches that go bad.  If this may be the case, is this the entire unit with the turn signal stalk included?  It seems to be one unit.  Also, given the voltage to the left high beam seems good, could running a new ground to the socket wire help?  Thank You!

Answer
In Canada we have daytime running lights and the ground for the left headlight is controlled through the daytime running light module, but I done think you have them in the USA.  I does sound like a ground issue, the switch controls the ground circuit.  you will probably have to replace the switch and it is one complete unit.
