Nissan Repair: CAR TREMBLES OVER 55/RUMBLING NOISE IN BACK, noise

Our car trembles when running over 55.  Also there is a rumbling noise coming from the back of the car. Altima 2005, 2.5l

Answer
Have the tires inspected, you will probably find the tread on the rear tires are cupped (worn all wavy) causing a trembling noise and vibration.  The most common reason for this is lack of tire rotations and the rear tire alignment is slightly off causing the tires to wear this way.  The only cure is to replace the tires and have an alignment done.  This is very common on the Altimas.
