Nissan Repair: Pathfinder, nissan pathfinder, steering wheel

Do you know what the red light is on a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder that is in the wiring below the steering wheel? Mine is flashing. It is connected to 2 interwound wires.

Sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm wired to your vehicle.  The flashing light is the alarm warning.  Now, it could be the factory one if it has come loose from the dash.  Just a deterrent for bad people that want to break into your Pathfinder.
