Nissan Repair: Overdrive sensor, nissan serena, dash board

Question
Hi, I have a 1990 Nissan Serena FX. Where is the overdrive sensor for this model please. When I turn on ignition, a kmessage lights up on dash board saying 'O/D sensor off'

Thank you

Answer
Jim,

There is a button on the shifter, kind of hidden, that has been pressed off.  Start the car and press the button and the O/D ligth should turn off.  If not, check the fuses and if that fails, there is a vacuum sensor on the firewall that has to be working for overdrive to apply.  Also, the car has to be at operating temperature and not under a substantial load.  But, the button should work...  Email me back and let me know.
