Nissan Repair: 92 nissan maxima starting problems, altanator, nissan maxima

Hello, i have recently replaced the starter as well as the altanator in my maxima. Now it wont start again. IF i jump start it will stay on for about 3 min with the batt light on then die out. I have replaced the batt and all it did was drain the new one.. When i rev up the rpms. THe little red batt light goes off like the altanator is working... But then it dies. Help please

Please take some voltage (digital) readings and get back to me:

1. Voltage of the battery when not running, terminals connected

2. Voltage of the battery when not running, negative terminal disconnected.

3. Voltage of the battery when the engine is running

When you start the car and turn on the headlights, does the car die?

Please get back to me so we can continue the diagnosis.
