Nissan Repair: brake spindle bolt thing, caliper, atores

Question
I was driving and the upper bolt between the caliper and the spindle came out causing my car to immediately stop. couldn't find bolt not big strong enough bolts at checker etc. what is it called i can't find it anywhere. not the caliper bolt either. the bigger bolt that allows the like housing that holds caliper to come off.

Answer
Hi Derek -

I believe these are the caliper mounting bolts you are speaking of. I did not get the year and model of your vehicle, so I am guessing where it is.

Anyway, be careful. These bolts (as well as the caliper bolts) are SAE rated, and must be purchased from the dealer or sometimes carried by outside atores, however, it must be designed for use with the brake system. Generic bolts will fail.

Hope this helps -
