Nissan Repair: wont turn over, neutral safety switch, nissan frontier

Question
I have a 1999 nissan frontier 4cyl 2wd about 3 weeks ago i got into my truck and w/o warning it wouldn't start. I replaced the battery leads due to corrosion. I had the battery and alt tested. Came back good. this morning i go to crank my car. There is power but won't turn over. Bench tested starter. It's good. this whole time though the chime that beeps to let you know that the lights are on or that your key is in the ignition will continue to beep even though everything seems to be off. Any suggestions. P.S while taking the starter out i dropped it. the post on the solonoid is loose but still worked on the bench test. Should I replace it anyway. thanks josh

Answer
Josh,

Check the master fuse for the ignition and starter.  Also, check for power at the starter where the large wire connects as well as the solenoid wire.  That is usually where it is at.  Also, if you have an automatic or manual check the neutral safety switch or the clutch pdeal switch.  Either of these will cause the truck not to start.
