Nissan Repair: 2000 Maxima Vibration Left Front, wheel bolts, wheel bearing

Question
Von,
You helped me back in January '06 with coils, so I figured your expertise was in order again. I've been in two accidents involving left front tire and curbs. Rim is good and tires are relatively new. Over 50 mph my car starts to vibrate. I'm not positive it is coming from left front, I only assume considering my history. Car has been aligned in the last 5 months. Could it be a bad alignment just got worse or am i into something completely different?

Answer
Ben,

If the rim has been replaced and there is vibration at speed over 50 MPH I would look at the wheel bearing and also the hub where the wheel bolts on.  That is, if the bearings are flat spotted from impacting a curb or the hub is bent that will cause a radial vibration as in the wheel wobbles and at speed it makes a vibration.  Email me back and see if this is the problem.
