Nissan Repair: 95 Nissan Altima, nissan altima, o2 readings

My engine shutters when idle and under acceleration. My engine light is on and was Diagnosed as 02 censor failure.  Would 02 Censor failure cause this, and how can I tell if it is the upper or lower Censor.

Hi Troy -

First off, I need to ask when was the last time you had a tune up. Sounds like a spark plug or wire is failing.

A non firing cylinder causes abnormal O2 readings, so before you condemn the O2, please tune up the car if you haven't already.
