Nissan Repair: Nissan cluser lights, headlights, tail lights, cant switch, fog lights

i recently bought a 1990 300zx got the engine all fixed up. everything worked perfect. then when i turned on the car the next day there was a spark in the middle console(were cd player is) i didnt install the cd player yet and the wiring was a mess. since then my headlights are stuck in high beam mode( cant switch out) the tail lights dont work, and the cluster lights are out. the fog lights wont turn on. any ideas on what happened?

Hi Nick -

First of all, Check all the fuses and replace all that are burned. If they snap right away, you have a direct short somewhere. I am hoping this is not the case, but if it is, then the diagnosis could be very tedious.

It definitely has to do with that spark, so I would take the console apart and look there first.

It looks like that spark caused some fuses to burn, and hopefully you can find the wire that sparked and separate it  with some black tape.
